Composite Industry Luxembourg (CIL) was created in February 2018 in the context of the Luxembourg National Composite Initiative, which acts as a catalyst to consolidate the core-competencies of Luxembourg’s growing composite industry.

The initiative identifies and executes joint projects and provides networking and incubating opportunities as well as consulting and training to its members. The targeted fields of applications include new composite materials that combine nanotechnology, bio-based resources, chemistry, engineering, materials science and processing, as well as manufacturing.

The ecosystem is composed of three inter-dependent pillars:

  • Composite Industry Luxembourg asbl (CIL), composed of national and international industrial companies
  • National Composite Centre – Luxembourg (NCC-L), hosted by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST)
  • Industry Advisory Group (IAG)
